Dealers Invitation Letter
Dear Dealers:

Booth reservations are now being accepted for UN Expo 17 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, October 27-28, 2017. Hosted jointly by the United Nations Philatelists, Inc., (UNPI) and the American Philatelic Society (APS), this event marks the 40th anniversary of the UNPI affiliation with APS. The show will be held at the American Philatelic Center, home of both the APS and the American Philatelic Research Library (APRL), and will feature a unique UN-themed World Series of Philately exhibition of more than 100 competitive frames from collectors worldwide.

Dealers with specialized United Nations material, postal history, and worldwide offerings will assure a well-rounded selection of material to suit UN specialists, topical collectors, and the general philatelist. We invite you to attend this extraordinary show to explore United Nations philately at its best.

Not only is this venue very affordable, access to the American Philatelic Center is ideal for stamp dealers. There is curbside move-in, with at-grade and loading dock access to roll stock onto the show floor. Open-air lots adjoin the building with free parking for dealers on move-in and move-out days. Internet is also free.

And if you haven’t visited Bellefonte you are in for quite a surprise- a lovely Victorian-style city with a vibrant restaurant and pub scene. There is even a distillery on the property of the American Philatelic Center! The APC is just a 10-minute drive from State College, home of Penn State University and the Nittany Lions. State College is full of fine restaurants and attractions that cater to the international crowd of students, faculty, and visitors to the university.

UN Expo 17 reservation forms with a $100 deposit are due by June 1, 2017. Booth selection for dealers will be based on a first come, first-served basis. Booth requests received after the deadline will be added at the end of the list in order of receipt. Once booth assignments are confirmed, contracts will be mailed out in July. The balance of booth fees will be due by August 31, 2017.

Just a reminder: On your reservation form, be sure to list your booth choices in order of preference. We will place you in the first available location on your list, and will call or email you with the booth number.

This schedule should allow you to advertise you booth numbers in both the September and October issues of the American Philatelist (due July 23 and August 23 respectively). The September issue will feature UN content.

We encourage you to reach out to the UNPI, the exhibition host society, at www.unexpo17.com for more information.
